What is Ram Navami?

The first son of Queen Kausalya and King Dasaratha of Ayodhya was the Rama, It is also consider as it to be a seventh avatar of the deity Hindu God Vishnu. This festival is held on the ninth day of the bright half of Chaitra, the first month in the Hindu calendar. It is part of the spring festival Chaitra Navaratri.
